Address by the Chairman of the KIA on the occasion of the  24th session of the KIA
Dear Scientists and Researchers,

We are thankful to God Almighty for His immense blessings showered on us and helped us to organize the 24th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA), concurrently with the 32nd Anniversary of the Glorious Islamic Revolution of Iran. The Islamic Revolution paved the way for the growth of unique talents of the Nation. The People's consciousness and their great anti-superpower spirit led to great achievements in various fields of science in the country . more

 

 

The awarding ceremony of the 24th Khwarizmi International Award, traditionally taking place on the first week of February of each year, was held on the 5th of February, 2011, at the IRIB International Conference Center (IICC), in Tehran.The awarding ceremony was open to the scientific community with around 1000 people gathering to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the KIA Laureates. This year, the Scientific Committees of the KIA considered a total of 1070 applications in both national and foreign sections. In the Foreign Section, 178 foreign researchers applied for the KIA from 46 countries and finally after deliberations the KIA has gone to entrants from Italy, Prof. Guido Ferlazzo, from Uzbekistan, Prof. Rashid Ganeev and finally from Australia, Prof. Alexander Maier. more
